I think it is all in how you interpret what you read. Some books may be simpler to read and some may be more direct. Its all in your preferences but in the end we all said the same thing - they all make the same point. Its what you do with what you have obtained from the reading if you have obtained anything at all.

I actually do agree that the secret is focused on wealth but not just material wealth in my opinion. I guess i read between the lines because in today's society wealth attracts attention. I do notice that the book "the secret" makes a point to establish that wealth isnt always achieved through material means and that the "wealthy" arent always wealthy if they do not feel abundant in all areas of their lives.

Like i said . . . its a matter of interpretation and the message you received from whatever version or depiction of the law of attraction you read.

I agree with you Ivy. I read " the Secret " then watched the movie. And for awhile, I was caught up in all the excitement. Then I read some other manifestation, law of attraction type books and found one I really liked. It is called " Write it Down, Make it Happen " by Henriette Ann Klauser. If I could only have one book on this topic, this would be the one I would choose.

blessings,
Dream Angel xx

Part Of The Answer

Its better to be too skeptical than not skeptical enough! LOL. Questioning things is very productive.

Many books such as this are valid, but are just a SMALL part of the overall answer, so to speak. I've never encountered anyone's book or work that was all that one needed to read. It is a good thing as we benefit from input from lots of sources.

These types of books are often useful as gateways to the mass market to those who are beginning to explore these metaphysical areas. They likely wouldn't be appealing if they delved into advanced discussions as they would be a bit overwhelming for newbies. There is a great need for allot of these type of gateway introductions. Hopefully after exploring this the readers will delve into more material.

Old Information

It is likely that it was information that you had covered long ago in your journey. Many of these types of books address a single idea. This can be very useful for those for whom it is a new idea, but not for those who already know it & are looking for new information.

W/ this type of book I'm delighted if they are anywhere close to what I consider useful w/ no major flaws!

I actually didn't finish it all but it is a good book. Lots of good examples and experiences she talks about too.

You didn't finish the book ? I have read it 3 times at least and have had success following her techniques.
