Question What are your favorite techniques

Hi All,

I have been interested in AP for many years but only had two. My goal is to be able to project from the waking state rather than try to interrupt my sleep. What are your favorite techniques and what is essential in order to be able to AP?

Be much easier from sleep too, not sure if it is always an interruption , sometimes it is a blessing.(In the books I have read on it, some reckon most if not all of us project during sleep anyway, it is just some can become aware of it)

Personally, projecting from lucid dream to Astral is the easiest due to the overlap. Projecting from waking state is a bit harder for me, since one have to elevate multiple times. Most people when projecting end up staying in the physical realm and never made it to the Astral or higher.

I hold an indifferent position about AP. I suspect when we were in the womb, we did AP. Based on that, I look at AP as being natural and something we can all do. The problem might be realizing we can and how simple it might be.

@Native spirit That's nice! To me it was and still quite the opposite.

Took me about 2 years to get closer and closer and finally to the moment of transition, fully conscious, when the astral double is "created" ( the astral representation of the physical body ) From heart racing, shallow breathing, powerful vibrations, loud bangs, dozens and dozens of times feeling like falling from my body, feeling like falling into a black whole, feeling like fading out of existence and eventually feeling like I am about to die, I finally made, not out of dumb luck, but consciously at my will...

I observed the double being manifested, looked like my physical body, it was bluish and translucent, and my awareness when with it while the body remained behind. I floated to my right side, horizontally, at the same level with the body and a bit above. I opened my eyes for I felt once again the feeling of falling of from my body but this time even with eyes open I was still feeling like I was falling but it only lasted a moment, anyway, this is a major success... From meditating hours to reach this stage to meditating just minutes, a huge progress.

This is my "favorite" way to do it for it is the direct way, having the waking consciousness available, for I noticed that if it happens while asleep the even though one has awareness, is conscious, the waking element is missing...

No technique, I meditate and rest in awareness, I do not focus on my breath, do not visualize things, like pulling myself or like imagining myself floating, though I did try all sorts of things. It takes me 10-15 minutes to reach the detachment stage, and this is where I am, but I keep that subtle body still at the level of my physical body, it so light that it slides/floats so easily out of the physical body.

Why do I keep it in the bounds of my physical body? Not ready, I float a little bit outside my body and pull myself back.

Rest in awareness, dissolve in awareness, be what you are, awareness, and relax deeply, every muscle, every tension, relax deeply, that's what I do.
