Bhajans, Kirtans, Songs of Yoga and Worship.
Thought it would be nice to open a thread dedicated to Bhajans and Kirtans, Songs of Worship of any Religion and no Religion. But it seems appropriate to open it in the Hindu because for me Hinduism has the deepest connection to the 'Vitally Important ' use of sound vibration as a means of Yoga to God and our Divine Natures. You can never hear enough music to awaken to our Divine Nature. Within my own culture (Irish) there is music to transport you into deeper and freer spaces etc. Songs that stir your soul..Namaste
The very gentle yet subtle singing of this Hare Krsna Devotee I very much enjoy :)

And the Hanuman Chalisa performed by Krsna Das in the presence of SHYAM SUNDAR DAS BABAJI

And a more up tempo version of the Hanuman Chalisa by Krsna Das

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru.

One of my goals for the near future is to video a guitar cover version. There is a good version on YouTube.
https://youtu.be/YmIsbHrIdEI
Sri Gurvastakam. This one, though it’s actually a happy hymn, makes me cry like a baby. Damn you George for using a minor key (Cm).

This is my personal favorite version of Govinda. I remember this chant being done with regularity when I saw Prabhupada and his devotees in person in New York City many years ago. This chant brings back great memories.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YxoApw1s4XI
EDIT: I just noticed that this also happens to be the same version that Joe Mc posted earlier in this thread.

Yes, that’s the version on the Goddess of Fortune album. Pia does a nice one too.

I knew this track as coming from the Radha Krishna Temple Album produced by George Harrison. The singer is Yamuna Devi Dasi.
My cassette tape of this was worn out due to the number of times I listened to it as a teen (Sri Isopanishad was my favourite track). It was among a collection of cassette tapes I purchased back in the early 80's from ISKCON...the others were Benediction Moon, A Change of Heart by Michael Cassidy and a complete satire series called "Radio Ram".
Sri Isopanishad:
https://youtu.be/SGjMlZSJfrU
Om Puurnnam-Adah Puurnnam-Idam Puurnnaat-Purnnam-Udacyate
Puurnnasya Puurnnam-Aadaaya Puurnnam-Eva-Avashissyate ||
Om Shaantih Shaantih Shaantih ||
Meaning:
1: Om, That (Outer World) is Purna (Full with Divine Consciousness); This (Inner World) is also Purna (Full with Divine Consciousness); From Purna comes Purna (From the Fullness of Divine Consciousness the World is manifested) ,
2: Taking Purna from Purna, Purna Indeed Remains (Because Divine Consciousness is Non-Dual and Infinite).
3: Om Peace, Peace, Peace.
Nowdays, I am a Shaivite and into a few of the more contemporary bhajans after exhausting my supply of the traditional ones.
In particular, I like Babaji Hansraj Raguwanshi, Kailash Kher, Shahnaz Aktar and the version of Gayatri Mantra performed by Super Deluxe. Here are some of the bhajans I love.. enjoy:
