Where does the subconscious fit

We "know" the subconscious is a real "thing" but where does it fit with spirituality?

It seems to be an entity on its own and yet so intimately tied with the conscious mind.

I know, right?
I hope some smart person explains it so I can understand it, too!
And don't forget the Super consciousness!

Funny, tho, how the subconscious mind can be programmed or trained...
What I mean is - if it was trained to think the truth is:
"You're stupid, I wish you were never born, you're just like your stupid father."
It can be RE-programmed , "I am a wonderful, loved person and all good comes to me."
:) Whassup with THAT!?

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones...Meditate unceasingly, that you may
quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery.

I don't know. It could be messages ingrained in our mind from guides that help us on our path.(Just guessing).

To me personally "it feels" like the subconscious is the aftermath of forgetfulness, the raw power left behind when the Self, God or whatever we call it forgot itself.

Does this resonate in any way?

I've believed for a long time that the subconscious is simply our higher selves, the part that's filtered out by the brain to which we return upon bodily death, the all knowing and wise aspect to which we are always, but not consciously connected whilst incarnate.

From the perspective of neuroscience it's a deterministic chain of cause and effect, starting inside neurons at the microtubile level. In other words it's just nature doing what nature does.

And yes, it can be trained indirectly via meditation as that takes advantage of neuroplasticity. Meditation not only changes how brain functions but also its very structure. Neurons that fire together wire together and neurons that are wired together tend to more often fire together. Meditation rewires brain's neural landscape. In effect it's being trained our entire life by experience and meditation is an undoing, not a doing. It's a letting go of some of that experiential conditioning.

When subconscious 'chatter' reaches a certain threshold is when we have a conscious thought. Meditation also lowers that threshold to the point of being able to be aware of thought fragments bubbling up from the subconscious and before they get together, throw a party, take control (emotional reaction) and become another episode of the greatest soap opera ever - 'The Story of Me'. Lol!

Dr. Stuart Hameroff: Consciousness is More than Computation!

This is an interesting interview with Stuart Hameroff on a hypothesis of consciousness - Orch-OR (Orchestrated Objective Reuction) - developed with Sir Roger Penrose. Upon further consideration I think it's more likely a hypothesis of the mechanism(s) of mind. In any case it dives deep into neuronal microtubules. https://youtu.be/YpUVot-4GPM?list=PL...XfywQvhBzzdrQA

Of course definitions of terms used would vary from person to person.

I have a friend, who is an advanced medium* (* as per definitions again he may be something else but that’s what he labels it as) who basically is enabled by the universe to put his clients in trance, that with conscious mind bypassed, he can facilitate a connection between the subconscious mind and super conscious mind, for healing, past life regressions and so on.

So we have three terms here;

subconscious mind, which represents all past lives and memories, tendencies etc. of the soul

conscious mind, being our thoughts, emotions etc. in the waking state and

super conscious mind, which is basically universal consciousness and we are one with it but know this not.
