Comparison between the Bible and other reliable manuscripts

It is a curious thing, why some reject certain historical documents and accept others. Is there a process you use to test whether a document is credible? Take a look at this, and ask yourself, why do I reject the Bible yet accept other writings as historical?

Many reject either ALL Jehovah god’s words or some. Reason being, many can’t handle the truth when the finger is pointed at them. The believers ,(many), want to have it their way. They will believe in “Jesus” or Jehovah God’s words. Just as long as it doesn’t interfere with their life. This is why many…”believers” try to interpret God’s words to either fit them, or not! Those who’s seeking, might become confused, because the “believers” are displaying many traits that NOT of God. The unbelievers, because they see and know how many believers act ,(ungodly). Most definitely don’t want to follow any bible. Again.. Satan has much to do with all that.

Those book writers that you mention, didn’t serve the God of Israel. They were of the world, therefore many won’t have any problem reading their stuff. Satan isn’t after any who’s ALREADY his. He hates God, any Heavenly beings and humans. so he will try to keep anyone from reading and or believing in Jehovah’s words. as i showed many times, he wants to take us down, anyway he can ,(Rev.12:12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time). peace

For me, it's physical (archaeological) evidence supporting the events in the texts. For example.

There's loads of physical evidence support the Roman invasion of Gaul (forts, etc). There's also physical evidence of warfare between the two societies (buried slain soldiers, etc).

But I don't take Ceasar's description of the Gauls as truth. History, in this case, was written by the victor. So, of course, it's biased. It's written in such a way to paint the Romans as the "good guys" and the Gauls as the uncivilized people.

So, in every case, you have to use your own mind (examining historical evidence, using common sense, etc.) to separate what to believe and what not to believe. That goes for all books.

...common sense. Yes.
I expect the Jewish leaders had that perspective also, when they disbelieved and challenged Jesus.
