Sheep
That poem brings back lots of memories of when I spent most of my time in North West Wales.
What most people don't realise is that Sheep are quite intelligent creatures (really...it's been proved).
Anyone ever seen the antics of a "Lamb Gang" playing?...the Mummy sheep lay in the field having a rest,and all the lambs go chasing around the field...they stop in one corner,then off they go again...running like crazy to another corner....this goes on for maybe half an hour.
It's a good job the poor little things don't know what lies in front of them !!

Squatchit, I owe you an apology. My unsuccessful attempts to upload my favourite photo have distracted attention from the purpose of the thread: your delightful poem. The link does go to the same site, BTW. The photo is within the photo folder but I am keeping it in reserve for a new page I hope to do soon about animals on the astral.
Mike: you are right; it's delightful to see lambs running around a field. The best part is watching them when they do summersaults! Sheep are intelligent; you're right there, too! This year twice I have heard the same ewe baaing frantically for half an hour. I followed her into the field and found that the ram had caught his head in the fencing wire. She had come towards the house to warn me that there was a problem. As I said, this has happened twice this year....
PS Squatchit - how do you upload a photo? I don't seem to have succeeded.

No apology necessary - it wasn't even my poem!
If I want to upload a personal photo, I use Photobucket. I believe ImageShack is just as good (although I'm not familiar with it).
If you know Photobucket/ImageShack, then I won't give you step-by-step instructions here and now. However, if you need help, please ask and I'll drop you a PM with the details.
I would love to see Josette. One of my dreams from being young was to live in the countryside with a view of a field of sheep from one of the windows.

P.S. Are you sure it goes to the same website? It goes to a site called megabyettraffic.com when I click on it and there's no photo folder to be seen......??????  |
