That's new to me, and explains why I've been resisting what I thought was just unrest, it is actually a sense of excitement, and I can go with that better than unrest.

For some reason, an article I read said it closed august 12.

It begins to open on the 26th and after its peak on the 8 (8-8 portal) it begins to close again, which is done round mid-August.
I didn't feel much of it either this year, which was new :) I'm happy about it because it has been very intense for me for a number of years.

Since it's now the 20th, yes, it'd be closed now.
