I live in the town where goat yoga started :) I was told it happened by accident. The founder of goat yoga had a regular yoga studio that was temporarily closed for a reason I have forgotten. A friend of hers offered to host the yoga classes on her farm. During the sessions, the friend's goats would wander over to the students and sometimes stand on them :) Everyone loved the experience so much they asked if they could keep the sessions on the farm with the goats :)
I thought it was a cute story. A "happy accident" that created a whole new adorable way of practicing yoga :) :)
Goats are so wonderful--I can see why they would be an intensely charming and healing addition to yoga :) :)

That sounds really ....fascinating. To have a goat standing on you while doing yoga! It must be interesting for the goat too, to share the energetic experience?
I have had a dog walk all over me while trying to do meditation. That kind of took the oomph out of my breathing but wasn't a totally unpleasant experience....but that was not a small dog.
It resulted in a belly laugh which wasn't an easy thing to do under the circumstances.
For the more cuddly experience, I might recommend a small cat? And there is something about the purring vibrations!

Play fun yoga games. Pretend to be animals on a farm or at the zoo. Make their noises and do the poses. Stretch your back and legs. Thanks for sharing
