To be short how the Reincarnation concept/words were banned from the Bible:
The second Council of Constantinople in the year 553, declared: "Everyone who defend the mystical doctrine of pre-existence of the soul and the consequent astonishing view that it returns, let him be accursed."
Until this time, the doctrine of rebirth and karma was accepted by the Christian Church.
The history of the Second Council of Constantinople had a remarkable event with the figure of the Emperor Justinian, a theologian who wanted to know more theology than the pope. Justinian tried to reenter the Monophysites among the Orthodox church because he feared that the Monophysites, led by Severus of Antioch, to depart and return to Persia. He organized the first conference in the palace between Orthodox and Monophysites, for which invited six Orthodox and six monophysite trying to define the differences between the doctrines.
The pope, Vigilius, despite being in Constantinople, refused to attend the council convoked by the emperor nor was represented. The council pressed by the emperor excommunicated the pope. Pope Vigilius just recognizing the council in exchange for the suspension of his excommunication.
The wife of Justinian named Theodora, was a great influence on her husband's government affairs and even in what he referred to theology. It was she who settled the Egyptian monks and Syriac clergy in the various palaces of the capital and especially in the palace of Hormisdas, who had become the center of Monophysite propaganda.
Why was she a prostitute, her former colleagues felt proud and proclaim such an honor. But this fact provoked and constituted a disgrace, causing send kill all five hundred prostitutes of Constantinople.
Christians of the time began to call her killer and say it should be killed, five hundred times in future lives. This would be your karma for sending murdering his former colleagues hundred prostitutes.
From there, Theodora came to hate the doctrine of reincarnation and how sent and ruled amid world through her husband, she decided to go for a Hard Target against this doctrine, and against his biggest supporter who was Origen.
The council dealt with two basic questions: Monophysitism and Origenism. The Origenism advocated apocatastasis the universe (revolution of a star) and Reincarnation. The council condemned the Origenism in clear and severe terms.
All this led to what we have quoted above, the condemnation of Origen held by Menas Patriarch and his bishops in Constantinople.
