An interesting article on the "negative bias":
https://www.verywellmind.com/negative-bias-4589618

Earlier in human history, paying attention to bad, dangerous, and negative threats in the world was literally a matter of life and death. Those who were more attuned to danger and who paid more attention to the bad things around them were more likely to survive.

This meant they were also more likely to hand down the genes that made them more attentive to danger.

Research suggests that this negativity bias starts to emerge in infancy. Very young infants tend to pay greater attention to positive facial expression and tone of voice, but this begins to shift as they near one year of age.

Brain studies indicate that around this time, babies begin to experience greater brain responses to negative stimuli. This suggests that the brain's negative bias emerges during the latter half of a child’s first year of life. There is some evidence that the bias may actually start even earlier in development.

Your thread's title is "Anger can be a Gift". My position is that that is incorrect.

Don't quite understand what you meant in your post here, but I'm talking practicality: you get what you focus on.

Its pretty well known in the Abraham-Hicks circles that -
It's way better to be angry than depressed, way better than being hopeless,
in despair with low self-esteem.
And just being angry is way better than the feeling of rage and wanting revenge.
Anger can show you what you do not want, so can propel you or other things to 'change'.

Ex:Your anger might influence a town to place a stop sign up where children walk.

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

So you're saying: I can't have a positive emotion, so which negative emotion should I choose?

This is like: "Should I hit you with a stick or with my bare hand?" ... "Don't hit me!" is the right choice.

In my opinion, the worst emotion is "fear".

A-H, as Seth too, says not to hold anger or grudge, but to act on them early, in order to diffuse them, and not let them grow and get more intense, and have more detrimental effects.

Anger begets more, and more intense anger. Surely, you guys may disagree.

post 22 has nothing to do with the thread. the thread has nothing to do with decision making. but i will say anger can be a beautiful energy. your being negative about it unjustly.

Ms. Hepburn

Exactly.

And it can propel you to put forth the effort and determination to reach ones spiritual goals just like other things in life. plus there is an energetic component to that can help one open up.

You keep saying "decision making", and I don't understand what you're referring to, in the context of what I wrote in this thread.

I don't intend to contradict or antagonize (anger) you.

Per merriam-webster:
anger = a strong feeling of displeasure and usually of antagonism
I believe that you mean something else in this thread, more on the lines of "intense focus", "motivation", ... Maybe I'm using incorrectly the word, as @Miss Hepburn seems to agree with you.

Or, we can leave it here, and move on.
