''My girlfriend was told that I would not wake up and that I had become a houseplant. As it turned out, it only took time for the massive brain pressure from the infection to heal, which had eaten away at my brain and made it inactive. It took a lot of time, I was in hospital for a total of three months, but because I had a NO on my donor codicil, the treatment was continued.

If there had been a YES there, I would have automatically become an organ donor because of that houseplant diagnosis and my organs would have been removed, during the most vulnerable period of my life! When I couldn't reach anyone anymore, or speak for myself.''

Wow Altair that is absolutely scary! Thank god you had a NO donor tag.

That is precisely what bothers me. Why I’m reluctant to be a donor. They are just too quick to act and not give the patient time to see if they recover.

It was someone else's experience. But yes, it is scary. I've seen videos of torture methods throughout history. This is on a whole new level..

is used in another...you are asking if now the Recipient would take on the murderer's karma?

It's interesting. You get something from that other person, something very real. What you get (besides a new organ) is anyone's guess. If tastes and talents can be stored in organs, than perhaps personality traits and behaviours can be stored there as well. Why would a musical talent be stored but not personality traits?
You take in a little bit of them. A bit of them becomes you. Indeed, what happens if you get an organ from a 'bad' person? Or a very peaceful person? An artist? A different gender?

The father of my brother's wife got a kidney from someone else recently. I'm getting really curious now and will keep my ears open..

And spiritually, surely somewhere somehow a 'soul' connection is made.
