Ever present meditation

A meditation practice, whatever it be, we seek to entwine our aliveness with enigmatic silence, in thought rested stillness.

Leaving aside for the moment, offerings of grace, imagined or real, after exiting meditation as an activity or routine, just like a workout, we get back to life, in a subject-object cognitive mode. Sure, we may now look at things a bit differently, our attention softens perhaps but our awareness is differentiated, with subtle desire, aversion, prejudice, intolerance, lack of acceptance etc. creeping in..

Contemplating on this, during meditation, we cannot determine the fulcrum of our consciousness, in fact, if we attempt to determine it, we are back to to mind, which we have dropped (hopefully). However, in our routine life, we oscillate between head and heart.

Now, to resolve this malady, it is easy to see that head and heart must act as one, requiring head (ego) to meld with heart (love, universal consciousness). To this end, we may mindfully, moment to moment, look at thought, word and deed, as it arises by instinct, as a reflex response. The correction should be playful, like training a dog or a horse. Or we may say, we, not being the mind, align it slowly to act in resonance with purified heart.

Heart vs purified heart. Heart is the seat of desire. A desire to expand. However, it serves two masters. One is the ego, meaning all well being related to body and the other to entwine with God or universal consciousness. So, a purified heart would be the latter, requiring cessation of ego cravings.

Now, with the gradual alignment of mind with heart, in resonance with love, what happens is that our soul presence takes centre stage and awareness becomes rippleless, agendaless, yet joyous and vibrant. This begins with a doing ~ we choose to shift until doership ends when it so becomes a flowing orientation of ever present stillness.

Reworded, we may say, we carry forward the afterglow of our performed meditation into the rest of the day, until doing ends and we are spontaneously always in meditation. Of course, we may playfully attempt to accentuate a moment of silence in unexpectant wonderment but essentially there is no seeking, although what remains, is a burning yearning to radiate our innate effervescence.

I’m sharing this as a non-doing I adopted to start with, in case it resonates. We may say, this represents a complete immersion in the current, prioritising the internal over the external.

I'm into structure and routine, so it's like a job I really like, but there's times when it sucks. Since my tack is no desire, if everything is good or if things get rough, it's fine as it is. I can have fun working, but when it's not fun, I still do the work. Ya gotta take the good with the bad in a fairly equal way. That's life.

Yes, Gem, equanimity, with all points of the Ferris wheel holding equal appeal, is the way to be, embracing and releasing the now continuum, leaving behind no residue.

About desire, the recognition of impulses that arise, we look at them and determine the roots. I’d not say we should renounce ~ engage if it suits but know it for what it is, a craving of mind-body and do not get addicted.

There is more of course ~ the way we look at other forms, deeply ingrained belief systems, instinctive likes and dislikes, our moment to moment responses in instinctive spontaneity, in both waking state and in dreams. The rabbit hole goes in deep.

This is well written and makes a great deal of sense to me. In fact as someone who identifies with developing and gauging myself in real life experiences as to my progression ( aware, open and clear, not stuck in this way), I find my growth expands immensely. By using the reflections of life, I know the work I’ve done within, is integrating and my life experience becomes more enlivened through my own presence.

Being entirely neutral, open and looking at life as an open ‘connected’ human takes great courage to overcome. I truly believe my life as a natural empathic sensitive, was merely to clear a thunder dome of lifetimes in me and meet myself over and over, till I no longer felt those triggers.

I suppose you could relate this as no longer seeking. In all honesty I feel my aliveness and neutrality in most situations of my world and in many ways I feel now, I’m simply walking with others to source the same for themselves.

I still find my core deeper losses get somewhat triggered, but I see these as necessary to shift threads, not distract myself away from feeling those threads. I’m interested in clearing fully anything that I see reacting in myself. Whether that’s mind/body emotions/ energy..

I think the dance of intimacy at the deepest level you’re addressing here, is the one you have to dig very deep for in yourself from so many different angles of life’s expression. To not fear that level as yourself, to be present with what is as itself, can bring open the most difficult of reactions in you, because often difficult ones represent our greatest losses.

Whether that’s ‘great love’ or ‘great pain’ the loss bears the same scars..

Yes, JustBe, we may say, if we wish to further simplify, that in an orientation of mindfulness entwined with silence and stillness, we spontaneously effuse our innate aliveness, which is bliss, in the now-continuum.

There is no need to analyse the energy vectors radiating forth from our being in the process but we look on in childlike delight, receptivity and wonderment at the inner transformation as it unfolds, petal by petal.

If and as required, the non-doer becomes a doer, in resonance with the current, which we first embrace and then in time become. Transcending scriptures, practices and belief systems, we exclaim, I Am!

That’s not simplified lol

So what is the doer doing in resonance with the current?

Boundaries blur. The doings are done but there is no separate self doing them.

This poem, which I posted today, may perhaps help explain how the doer’s doing is actually a non-doing -

Love soaked vermilion

An epiphany dawned on us today,
refining further our void-centric view,
to anoint love on all forms every day,
that soul’s innate vibrancy may renew,
with love always claiming the right of way,
aura glistening like fresh morning dew.
Love soaked vermilion, in joy we implant
on all who we meet, to straighten soul’s slant.

Got it..

So in the implanting are we straightening our own soul?

What is soul?

@ JustBe ~ we have one one hand, a singularity, where all that is is self renewing light of Self feeling at peace and complete and without attributes and on the other hand we have duality, where perception is differentiated. The soul falls into that category as the formless awareness but with identity.

For example, in the dark void experience, we are there and the void is there, why, even a communication takes place. Hence, duality.

There is no problem with duality, for it offers learning not offered in singularity. However, the identity which is a personality, is non-existent, which we can call the soul but … it remains unknown* (*to me) if from the all-that-is, how does the specific (now unified) aspect of Absoluteness re-emerge from singularity into duality, in its original shape.

So, what was sought to be said in the poem is that an empowerment is offered whereby love may and should be anointed from us to the other, as a transmission. The background to this goes way back, when someone whose heart centre was blocked, well, ok I’ll just say, a facilitation occurred wherein Lord Shiva and Parvati Ma (Shakti) appeared and took my consciousness into the body of that person through the crown, to implant love in the heart, without of course, interfering or intruding in the privacy of the subject. Heavy stuff! I could only find one reference if this in an ancient text. Anyway, for the record, I can share that it worked, love blossoming slowly in its own time.

So, the same process is suggested with the modification that love be anointed on beings we meet, applying the ethereal vermilion from between eyebrows upward vertically, as is done by priests in Hindu temples ~ a tilak* (*that’s a Hindu word, sorry).

Love employs no force, so it’s alright to do this, if you feel so drawn.
