Cool Meditation to be skinny?

For years (3 to be exact) I have been trying to get back down to 120 pounds. Ive tried diets, life style changes,
meditations everything. Even if it worked I can't commit to it because the changes are too different from my family's
life style. As I said I tried meditations that didn't work but has anyone had a meditation that worked? I've tried all the
physical was to lose weight. And either they didn't work or they DID but I couldn't commit or I can't do them anymore.
Example: I use to walk in the woods but now I can't because the woods is closed. So I'm desperate! As I said I've tried
the physical ways, so are there any spiritual ways to lose weight? I doubt there is but as I said I'm desperate! lol

I truly believe in the power of meditation. Use the mantra "I am 120lbs, I am 120lbs" or " I am happy and healthy and 120lbs" Or just something that works for you. Do meditations where you "see" yourself being 120lbs, think about how you would feel at that weight, how you would move and the clothes that you would wear. "See" yourself being satisfied with your weight and with who you are.
I've been using my prayer beads, with a similar mantra (for my weight), every time I think about it or have a few minutes to myself. I pick up my beads and repeat my mantra 108 times. I customized a set of beads I bought and made them my own and to fit my beliefs. You could do something similar if you think it will work for you.
Good luck and I know you will succeed!

Three years is quite a long time to be focusing on losing weight, do you feel that trying but not succeeding to lose the weight is making you unhappy? Do you feel that your appearance and weight reflects your self worth? Maybe just accepting your current body weight would make you happier.

Sorry if I'm coming across as critical or ignorant but it's just something for you to think about

Have you tried EFT for losing weight? I have heard it's an effective.

Take care, Sophie.

you can try manifesting i.e visualization

weight issues generally attribute to something emotional going on, they say putting on weight is a protective mechanism.. so maybe some journaling? therapy? i agree with the poster above.. eft is great as is shamanic healing

a rapid way to loose weight is 70% raw fruits and veggies! just try to select healthier options.. if you'd like I can help you devise a diet and plan you can stick to just pm

Hi Lovely,
I've lost about 40 lbs. this year so far since early inthe year. I went back to my protein diet shakes and bars to help me ~ I don't eat lunches anymore at work, I either take a nap or do some sort of exercises in the litte lounge room (crunches, stretches, one yoga pose that's pretty easy to do and makes me feel better, 'air' (free weights without the weights) a routine I learned years ago.
I also take certain supplements to assist me, all kinds; each individual needs to learn about what they think they need, do the research for themselves. If the woods are closed (?!) is that the only option for walking? Maybe you can get one of the mini-trampolines, that would help, maybe.
I wish you best of luck. I also believe that visualization and keeping a picture or pictures around of you at your ideal weight is a good thing to do, as well as what I do is think of losing the weight in increments of 10 pounds and so on, whatever may work for you.

Just a thought from spirit...Yes It is very possible to loose weight through visualisation and diet but sometimes some people arn't meant loose weight for select reasons. Sometimes weight is a physical means of protecting oneself from energies etc that one can't handle yet (some empaths for example)...other times weight is necessary to keep certain people away who you shouldn't be interacting with...sometimes it can be the result of past lives etc...sometimes weight is their to help someone ground themselves (work on the root chakra can help with this) but often it is the result of deep self hatred. Addressing those issues first can be beneficial for some people if their weight isn't really connected to general lifestyle choices. It's a journey for some but it can be done:)

Hi Lovely, try not to think of yourself being skinny but see yourself as being healthy and radiant, with this in meditation and a healthy eating plane your body will find its own weight without you even trying or worrying about what you should be. All the best for you..

This is an interesting thread for me as I have tried to meditate to lose weight as well. I was cruising youtube last night and I came across this interesting video. I wasn't super impressed at first but at about 2:45 it got interesting. The lady on here talks about integrating change with your spirit.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tK8GxmGona0

We can't stay on a diet because we have a certain mindset. Following this ladies videos it hit me that rather than put your body through the torture of diet, why not make it healthy by putting nourishing foods into and showing gratitude to it. This is stuff that I already know, but it hit home when I realized that by filling our bodies full of junk (including the chemicals that are in most processed foods) We are doing our bodies such a disservice. I am definitely going to try taking a new approach and combining it with meditations focusing on increasing the health of my body, and spirit. Good luck on your journey!

Balance?

What might be fun and a way to lose weight is to get a balance board and start playing with it. I plan on getting mine out tomorrow. The one I have does not rock back and forth but can rotate 360 degrees.
