That's remarkable. A person that can stand happily in the middle of a thunderstorm, with strong winds, water and lightning strikes all around them without any fear. Or, a person facing the fury of a hurricane, with trees and cars thrown around like toys, and yet they have no fear. Now imagine being before one who is infinitely greater than these insignificant things, the undescribable overwhelming power and glory of such being, at yet they show no fear, that's truly remarkable.

That made me laugh so much...you don't pull any punches!
Well, as I have thought of it, yes...an ignorant, superstitious mind from long ago...
who's daily life was based in fear in those often barbaric times.

I first heard of the metaphysical translation of Lord to mean law from Florence Scovel Shinn.
“If we read the word Lord, law, it will make many passages in the Bible much clearer.”
https://www.austincc.edu/adechene/game.pdf
It can also be found here
“What fear is the beginning of wisdom? The fear of running counter to the divine law and of making trouble for ourselves.”

Then, I had heard fear meant respect, nothing more.
So I found this:
The Hebrew word translated into 'awe' in the Bible is yirah (יראה, pronounced yir-ah).
It often directly translates into fear,
like “fear of the Lord,” but it can also mean respect, reverence, and worship.
But, make no mistake about it, yirah is strongly connected to 'trembling'

Yes Hexagon I also read that book many years ago and loved it. Law certainly makes sense.

I really enjoy authors like her and similar. They break down the Bible into something very practical and easy to understand. I think it was Dr. Joseph Murphy that said the Bible is a book for spiritual development but we need to have the spiritual key to understand it. And thats what they teach the spiritual key. Makes sense to me anyway.
