Techniques for accessing past lives?

Flashbacks I've had are mostly triggered by smells, places, objects but most of all people. Recently I've had feelings of a distant life I've yet to connect with but haven't enough 'anchors' as it were to resonate with it.

It feels very old, way way back to the beginning of mankind, so there aren't any objects I can use to connect, let alone places that will look the same. I think I was alone for the vast majority of this life and didn't get close to anyone until much later so that rules out people in this life that could trigger it. (Assuming i haven't crossed them yet.)

Any tips or techniques on how to connect more with this life?

I dunno about 'that' life. I can tell you what happens to me.
When I am puzzled by who the heck this person is to me..I keep it in my mind.

I can talk about reincarnation to others, read books, novels about past incarnations of others...I mean keep it like a burr in your saddle.
(I watch Yellowstone, lol)
Suddenly, when you least expect it it may come to you, as whole scenes come to me.
I dunno, it's worth a try.
Also, after many hours of meditation suddenly it's like my eyes have opened (inside, ha), again to a 'scene'...oh my...it's like being there!
So far it hasn't happened while driving!!!
