He said to them,
"You have disregarded the living one in your presence
and have begun to speak only of the dead."

I know the feeling shown by that quote.

I get it when theists use mythos instead of logos and hide decent thinking behind a supernatural shield to honor in a gos what we condemn people for doing.

The "Twenty-four prophets have spoken in Israel" refers to the 24 books in the Hebrew Scriptures (Old Testament) or it could refer to the 23 Prophets mentioned in the Hebrew Bible and the one other prophet of Jesus' time period, and that was his cousin, John the Baptist.

"and all of them have spoken of you" claims all of the 24 books and/or the 24 prophets all referred to the one who would come, the Messiah, Jesus.

EXCELLENT OBSERVATION!

Not only reminds me, but this verse in the Gospel of Thomas, is a paraphrase of those two scriptures.

Taken from the NIV translation:

You study the Scriptures diligently
because you think that in them
        you have eternal life.

 These are the very Scriptures
       that testify about me,
          yet you refuse to
come to me to have life.

Ǥѻṣꝕęŀ ѻſ Ʈħѻɱᶏṣ was never canonized.

        VERSE 53

                            His disciples asked him,
                    "Is circumcision beneficial, or not?"

                                   He said to them,
"If it were beneficial, their father would produce
children already circumcized from their mother.

Rather, the true circumcision in spirit
                         prevails over everything."

This verse shows that nature is superior to what the Jews in those days thought. That did not yet have the knowledge that we now have.

Gnostic Christianity has a large naturalist component.

Some Gnostic croups took it too far in that they preached an equality for all and even a sharing of males and females was envisaged for heaven, while they were bright enough to recognize that having that full and equal freedom could not work well on earth.

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

You do know that Moses is a fictional Character and so was his trip. Right?

The burning bush, is an esoteric part of Jewry.

The scribes used esoteric icons in much of their writing of the Christian myth.

The story was obviously a warn to warn Jews not to turn to esoteric thinking instead of supernatural thinking.

The scribes wanted to dumb the people down. Not educate them.

Knowledge is a fall, don't cha no.

Stay dumb and stay standing is what Yahweh wants to tell the world.
