Buddha's enlightenment

I really like this youtube clip from the movie The Little Buddha. This to me is a master work of film. I like the army scene where the arrows were sent to the Buddha and they turn to flowers. It makes me think that all things are used for the good and are transformed into enlightenment experiences. Hope you like this youtube clip.

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

Lahiri Mahasaya

I too like Lahiri. I particularly like the picture of him in the full lotus position in Autobiography of a Yogi. My favorite Buddhist book. I used to often visit the Paramahansa Lake Shrine in the Pacific Palisades.
