Odd things happen here. A while ago I lost my previous account, postings etc. and had to register again. So now I look like a newbie whereas I've been a member for a lot more years than many members.

Since this topic is over essentially I know this is off topic, but just curious. Were you Bobjob in this "past life", or just Bobjob in this recent "incarnation"?

Go to the right upper corner of your screen,
-click symbol for 'History, saved bookmarks'' --a screen drops down
-Click 'History', screen will come down ,
-click 'Clear recent history' - another screen will pop up, inside click ONLY the box for ''Cache'',
-then click box for ''Clear Now''.

You are ready now to click New Posts and the screen will drop down.

Anyone try this yet ...cuz it's the only way - it's worth it to see the Posts of the Day.
Let us know.

I have to do this a few times a DAY!

I've just tried it but it didn't make a difference - still not showing unread postings since my last visit. But it shouldn't be necessary to clear a browser's cache as often as you're having to do - what a pain for a moderator!

Why not try using a different browser as a test? If there's no improvement it would suggest it's not a browser issue.

It is funny ---I can see how I have advanced emotionally, since I don't mind.
In the past I may have placed my laptop in front of my tires....zoom.

But have you tried my suggestion of using a different browser the way I tried your suggestion?

I can't get new posts on
my new phone but had no
problem on my old phone
Im also reluctant to to try
The advice Miss H kindly gave
But it's a real shame ever since
Ive been on sf the first thing I do
Is go to new posts to see if
Some one is taking about something im really interested in
My old phone doesn't work
on the internet any more.
I allso have a problem with the
Scene size i have to scole from
Left to right to read a post
That's why I now make my
Sentences short
I also did not have this problem with my old phone

As you've found, phones with their tiny screens and keyboards are not the most practical of devices. Even so a modern phone - Android or Apple - should display the forum layout well enough for reading if not for easy typing.

The 'best' one I ever witnessed was an Engineer that was coming up with a new keyboard design.

He took a big hammer to it..........
