Female Best Vocalist?

Who are the bands/singers with the best female vocalists? Women have beautiful voices and I love music with great female vocals.

Here are a few of my favourites -

Tristania with Vibeke singing.
Nightwish with Tarja singing
Omnia with Jenny singing.
Inkubus Sukkubus with Candia singing.

Can you recommend me any?

Oh yes amy lee! I've heard of effervescence, but have never bought any yet. Plus I've heard of Sia from Zero 7. Thanks!

I'll check out Daughter.

Florence Welch (of Florence + the Machine). Just listened to my Ceremonials album straight through the other day when I needed to feel my strength.

...and another strong female is Anna Maria van Giersbergen, who used to sing for The Gathering.

I used to listen to Beth Orton and Norah Jones...not so much anymore.
