If you want people to come to you, it helps if you can get really good at filling in your online profiles.
Almost every online friendship I've had started with me seeing someone I thought seemed cool and messaging them something like, hey, we have whatever interests in common, want to be friends? Sometimes it goes really well, and if it doesn't, at least I know I tried, and I don't have to wonder what might have been.

I hope you find good company.
What are your favourite aspects of eastern spirituality? That term encompasses so many different things, and I wouldn't like to assume I understood what you meant by it.

I think I love it all ( Hindu, Buddhist, Sikh, Jain) - including other Native Traditions: Tao, Shaman, Mystic Judiasm, Hawaiian.
I have studied and practiced Astanga Yoga including Pantanjali Sutras, Several different Vedantas: Advaita and Vaishnava. Buddhism and other things.
Also I have a graduate degree in Humanistic / Transpersonal Psychology.
*** Main aspect is that it is experiential - Truth (Atman & God) exists and here is how you can Realize it yourself...

BTW: I was very much influienced by Sri Ramakrsna Paramahangsa.

It is nice to meet you, too.
I can relate to what you said about the importance of experience. Other people's stories are interesting, for sure, but I am wary of believing in things I can't verify for myself.
What was it that lead you to explore so many different traditions? Was it all searching, or something more like, you already had experience of something and were looking into different ways of exploring it?
