I cut my left thumb really bad 5 weeks ago. It looked horrible so I did 10 days of antibiotics. It's still swollen and hurting a lot tonight. Had some red lines away from it in my skin. Always on a Friday night eh. Can't see my doctor till Monday. I tried to go to ER just now but they must have had 30 people in there so that's a no go. Maybe go to urgent care tomorrow in case I need more antibiotics before I can talk to my doctor on Monday.
I was prying up labels on cardboard boxes with a box cutter. It somehow slipped as I was pushing hard under a label and the box cutter went right into my other hand's thumb. I quickly put pressure on it and almost passed out but the bleeding stopped. Now I'm wondering if maybe there is part of a label deep in the cut and it healed over on top of it. My grandmother just died from a cut she got on her foot so I'm pretty worried.
