The Astonishing Color of After by Emily X.R. Pan

It's a book about a teenager who lost her mother to suicide and it takes you through her journey with her family dealing with the mom's mental illness. Her mom is reincarnated as a bird, and leaves her daughter messages throughout the story in order to connect the dots (I'm assuming) to why she took her own life. It has an element of ''magical realism'' to it, so if you like that genre, you may like this book.

The Untethered Soul, Michael A. Singer

''The Untethered Soul describes how you can untie your self from your ego, harness your inner energy,
expand beyond yourself and float through the river of life instead of blocking or fighting it.''

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

"Human Action" by Ludwig von Mises.

It's about what motivates everyone to act and how that appears in societies, values etc. It's a heavy book. Not 'light reading'.

I started reading "Hedge Druidry" by Joanna van der Hoeven. It's about walking a solitary path in druidry. More of a 'how to' book for a solitary practitioner of druidry.

Just finished reading "Awaken the Spirit Within" by Rebecca Rosen

It was an uplifting book with a lot of reaffirming beliefs I've developed over my lifetime.

I'm back reading what I should more often since it uplifts my spirit and sets me straight so much
The Bhagavad Gita---and I have one of the best translations, imo.

In the top 3 with commentary..hard to find...and there, one day, in a Used Book Store were the last 2 Volumes...
for like $6 each ....$35 + online IF you could ever find one.
What a day that was.

I must admit I have got out of the habit of reading lately, and must get back into it. However, I have a book on go at the moment: ‘Addicted’ by former footballer Tony Adams. It is quite different from most footballer’s autobiographies, in that it doesn’t just chronologise his career, it also charts his descent into, and escape from alcoholism. You do have to be an addict to find the book inspiring.

Zane Mitchell......Drunk on a Boat: The Misadventures of a Drunk in Paradise.

What would you do if your ex got abducted? Remember, she's an ex for a reason.

So let's assume you hate them from the depths of your soul. Line up the tequila shots, right?

Not your problem?

Now stay with me for a second. What if you were the ONLY person who could save their life? Then would you save them? We are talking about another human being's life, after all.

Now, imagine you have seven million dollars in your bank account. Sweet, right?

It's seven million dollars or your ex's life.

This is a judgment-free zone. Be honest. You'd keep the seven million dollars. Am I right? Yeah, me too.

So, I'm Drunk, I hate my ex., And I have seven million dollars in my bank account. You do the math.

Word to the wise...while this story can stand on its own two feet, it'll make more sense if you start with the first book, Drunk on a Plane.

I found the banned book list for my county (Southwest Florida USA) - currently reading all of the 115 books on the list to figure out why they were banned..

Starting with "I know why the caged bird sings" by Maya Angelou
