What are the best shoes for walking?
I power walk all the time. I love waking up and going for a walk, and in the evening after supper. I am wondering what the best shoes are for this? I need a new pair and want to grab some good ones.

I'm a huge fan of NewBalance 642 running shoes
just wore out my 4th pair
I fastwalk 3-4 miles pretty much every day, the last 20-25 yrs
whatever feel comfortable-supportive to YOU is right

Actually they're my only shoes, as I'm a jeans & tee shirt kinda guy

Hello

I live for the New Balance I got though many pairs in a year. They make good specific one's for walking that are very comfortable day one on the feet. I take a 2 E so there is but "One" model that fits me lol. If they stop making it I will cry.

I clicked on this thread to chime in and say "NuBalance" only to find many references before mine :)

I have very high arches, plus my feet appreciate the big 'toe box' traditional to the Nubalance design. I have no foot pain when I walk in them, plenty when I don't bother to change and head out without 'em.

Boots...(I must be the oldest one here LOL...these boots were made for walking and that's just what I'll do)

I love walking, mostly at night, i have special shoes i like to use when walking because the others always make my feet sore after using them, I have these very comfty shoes i like to wear called lugs, they really ease off the bottom of my feet so i can walk for longer distances without stopping.
