You’re assuming that I am frustrated with the bible. Well i can assure you that I certainly am not as I don’t read it and haven’t read it since my school days.

But you believe in the Bible and that isn’t just one source. That’s full of scriptures written by many people. God never wrote any of it.
Molearner…. Perhaps we understand language differently but when I hear someone say they question something I take that as a polite way of saying they have serious doubts about the truth of what is referenced….
So don’t you question anything at all? Do you just accept what is said/written/heard on face value?
How can we possibly learn anything if we don’t question it.

BigJohn. Yes a lot of artefacts have gone missing but then you have to ask, did they even exist in the first place? Who knows.

I'm not ''for'' getting rid of the Bible or religions.
Why?
Because people are so stupid they actual need it written in STONE...Do not kill.
They also 'need' to believe there is a hell....so maybe, just maybe it might keep them from slitting my throat as they rob me.
That's why I love the scary parts in the Bible and in religions, because it
MAY keep the horrible people in line, even if just a bit.
I bet there has been more than one criminal that has stopped to think,
"Maybe I shouldn't kill this bloke - in case there is an Eternal Lake of Fire..hmm. After all, I got his wallet."

I use that same polite way….often. So those questions do not apply to me. I am part of the ‘some’……the other ‘some’ might not be polite……..:) |

This happens with people that believe the Bible is inspired……the Holy Spirit being THE source…… |

I wasn’t talking about other people I was asking You about YOUR personal experience with the Source that was inspired by the Bible.
Let’s not forget that there are thousands of people out there who have/had a direct experience with Source who don’t know or believe in the Bible ie Buddhists/Hindus/Muslims and ordinary lay people.
So I wonder what inspired them?
Well how come many other people have direct experience with the source but don’t believe in the Bible such as Buddhists/Hindus/Muslims/ and lay people.
