I've been having insomnia issues. Today, I woke up at 1:25 am for the day.
I work from home, so I just decided at about 3:00 to get up and get start working. I took a nap just a few minutes ago and had this dream:
I was in the car at a traffic light in an area I'm very familiar with but don't pass through anymore. It's near where I grew up. I was on the phone with a friend of mine (on the car's bluetooth). She was telling me she wasn't going to be able to come have dinner tonight (this is planned currently) because her husband forgot to put the carseats in her car, etc...
As she was talking, I saw this black tractor-trailer coming from the other direction making a left. It was going entirely too fast. It was almost like the driver didn't shift soon enough or the brakes had failed (or a combination). I could hear the engine braking engage but I said out loud, "it's too late."
My friend said, "what?"
I said, "it's too late. That truck is about to flip."
Somehow the truck did not flip, but it did go off the road and crash into a warehouse. I could hear screams. I hopped out of the car to look that direction. Other people were hopping out, too. I reached for my phone to call 911, but I couldn't grab it. It was like it was behind a glass or something and when I woild get close to it, my hand couldn't go any further.
What woke me up was the sensation of my heart pounding from the adrenaline rush.
I did get about a 40-minute power nap, which was much needed.
Aside from indicating I need to go to bed early tonight, does anyone have any ideas?
Thank you.
