Mediumship and meditation unity.

Physical mediumship (pm) isn't often seen publicly and that may suggest there are few pysical mediums around but those who are such mediums may just be reluctant/unprepared to demonstrate their gifts publicly. So mostly we won't know who they are.

It's a sad fact that the production of phenomena has long been the province of frauds with the inference - by detractors - that all such practitioners are frauds.

Those 'in-the-know' about pm understand the need for some, perhaps most practitioners to work in low light levels and/or red light. The reasons for that are a discussion subject in themselves but suffice it to say low level red light helps protect those mediums. The red light is usually adequate for viewing the production of physical phenomena. Phenomena in themselves are not necessarily indicative of life after death, the primary message of the religion and philosophy of Modern Spiritualism in the UK.

Transfiguration mediumship may provide evidence of the survival in spirit of family and friends when they are able to show themselves in this way. However other figures may also appear who are not associated with the sitters present. Such transfiguration may be accompanied by teaching or guidance and could reasonably be described as 'philosophical mediumship'.

Thanks bobjob and Big john for your comments here, I guess all things develop or m morph into other ways of presentation, I have been out of touch with Spiritualism for years and not sure what is the "IN" way to demonstrate the continuence of life after death. I am a natural medium it developed quite spontaneously within me, and i could and did demonstrate transfiguration in broad daylight without any props whatsoever, red lights to me smell fishy!
I think physical mediumship has lost its place in the world of APPS for everything including meditation, its sounds ridiculous to me, i thought that when i first heard about this APP that it was a joke! There was no such a thing as an APP in 1974 when i started on my journey of self discovery.
I wonder if there is a place for a relic like myself to reintroduce physical mediumship in the manner of transfiguration in broad daylight with zero props?

I wasn't aware red light HAD morphed into what it is today. I had always thought red light stayed as red light but what do I know? I'd be interested in reading a brief explanation of the morphosis involved.

Interested also in learning which other relions followed (quote) "that same developmental path" mentioned above.

I've been in constant contact with Spiritualism for half my life - 37 of 74 years and still counting - but haven't seen any change in the way mediumship is used to demonstrate the survival past death of our loved ones. I'm not aware of any "IN" way or of any that are "out".

As usual I am speaking here about Spiritualism in the UK.

I was under the impression a so-called natural medium is one for whom the attribute was there from birth rather than it developing.

I expect you were photographed doing it or even filmed? Did Psychic News feature your unusual ability of being able to demonstrate in ordinary light? I'd love to see the photos.

I don't follow why red light seem fishy to you. Sitters or an audience would still be able to see transfiguration. Mediumship carried out in total darkness is a different matter, of course, because absolutely nothing can be observed by sitters.

Electronic applications have appeal for today's generation and my approach is that IF they work then why not use 'em?

I can't see how they have ever posed a threat to physical mediumship but pm never did have a place to lose to an app anyway. It was always niche.

The obvious first step would surely be to find out whether you're still actually able to act as a host for reliable, predictable transfiguration. Once you've 'tested the system' so to speak and found it fully-functioning the next step would be to consider your options.

Thanks bobjob for your comments, there are no photos sorry there were just a few friends at our homes and a couple of times in our local Spiritualist church in Eastleigh hants. i never pursued it much farther as i felt it was not in my best interests. Neven needed any props though, i don't think they are really needed. but that's just my opinion.

When i say a natural medium bobjob I mean that at the age of 29 my life imploded and exploded simaltaneously i had some odd things occur before in my earlier life, but did not much pay any attention to it, at 29 everything happened and i was in another dimension of being, whether I awakened then or not am not sure but mediumship seemed natural to me,it was there without ever learning anything about it.
