Can light overpower dark?

I believe your question has already been answered but I just wanted to add that there is no force in the universe that is stronger than the power of the Divine Light (but you probably already know that). I have seen that myself so many times in my life.

To say that one is capable of overpowering the other is to not have an understanding of what each is. Dark is merely an absence of light or energy, thus why many beings considered Dark feed on others. It may be considered evil by some but it is not ethically worse than a hungry lion feeding on a gazelle who wandered too far into it's territory. Both are complimentary forces, and detached from a notion of good or evil.

Doesn't mean you can go and hug them and tell them everything will be alright and expect that to solve the problem. It's just not their nature.

We always t talk about and read about picking up dark energy and entities from third parties. My question is can others be healed by our light energy the same way. Can my light heal his dark? Subconsciously he is wanting it anyway?

First do not confuse his dark with dark attachments. The question of light overpowering dark has to do with who is stronger (or calls upon stronger assistance).

Your light can go a long way to neutralizing his darkness. However, if he is stronger than you, it might go the other way with him making you dark.

As to attachments, this is not something to casually mess around with. Dislodging entities is easy. Making them stay away is difficult. Some of them get quite angry when forcibly detached and will attack you. Get someone with experience to deal with them.

What you can do to assist here is find out why he is collecting attachments. Even with a proper clearing, if you don't solve this, he will just pick new attachments. This is going to take a lot of trust and openness on his part and a lot of understanding and patience on yours. Whatever his root issue is you are probably going to need help dealing with it. Offer to go with him and support him. He may find it easier to utilize that help while you are not present. Try not to take that personally. He may just feel too vulnerable or ashamed to have you there to witness the truth. After he deals with it, then you may ask.
