What is your operating system ?

I use my phone for some net stuff . It is Android . I have some pcs and lap tops all with Linux Mint . Mint like most Linux distros are free to use , re code ect.

I have a bunch of old pcs that were given to me . I think they have windows xp , vista or some thing on them . Dont use them just saw what worked and if any thing interesting was on the hard drive .

I have tried Ubuntu as a live boot a few years ago . Never installed it on a hard drive . For thoes that dont know most Linux distros will boot from a usb/dvd drive . You only install it if you like the system and ever things works . The time I tried it was before Ubuntu was bought by Microsoft . Some Linux users dont trust Ubuntu now .

Most distros require some tek skils so there not for ever one like windows/mac .are.

I got MacBook Pro. iPhone- I got android phone for the matrix live wallpaper, shame apple don’t let you mod that much at all if any..

When I build my 4k gaming/ streaming pc.. I give windows 11 a bash.

But ever since I was little had windows.. when computers first come out in the 80’s90’s I had one that social care bought me in my foster home I use to play with bios and mess it up- always was in for repair lol didn’t have clue what I was doing but felt like the matrix for those 10 minutes messing it up ..

Those days are long gone now..

I switched to Mac for less viruses etc

I jailbreaks my iPhone 3GS when it first came out - unlocked sim also.. I wasn’t a dev but I managed lol

I tried lynx and Ubuntu but I wasn’t technical savvy with the coding and command prompt.. I even bought a raspberry pi but it got sent to the tip when I was evicted from my apartment- everything did I had to start again in b&b and that caught fire on my goshhh…

So I’m looking into a streaming / blogging set up with drones of content and a different take on shots in videos and photography…

I bought a canon d4000 for its Wi-Fi connectivity ( sent photos without lead) but it never turned up over Christmas-

So will have to YouTube some videos of cameras with Wi-Fi enabled…

It would of been a good starting dslr

I’m gaming mostly on the ps5 but call of duty apparently is been bought by Xbox and if they make it exclusive to Xbox I will make the switch to the series x…

I have Xbox pass and PlayStation pass my PlayStation doesn’t let me stream over wifi because it’s connectivity is bad but Xbox does??? Eh?? But Xbox lets you stream on Mac/pc/ mobile but the controller ( I haven’t yet tested with Xbox controller just ps5 and backbone one) it lags really bad!!!

So pros and cons? Where’s the silver lining????

I was going to build a water cooled pc but to much maintenance so going with fan cooling.. instead…

I bought a 4k monitor to play my ps5 in 4k but it been returned because got dent in it.. on the right hand top screen.. I got it for cheap and doesn’t really affect its specs my ps5 running in 4k on it.. you can really tell the difference … it will do me while I’m in the hostel.

My insurance wouldn’t cover me for theft with regards to residence there but outside the hostel breaking in they would.. I just covered my ps5 on protect my bubble for 7£ a month instead…

I’m getting into the vertical screen gang.. I’m interested in learning to code.. so mac has some pretty good programs so I’m excited for the potential??? Hummm

I have my favourite OS: Win98se and IE6 (MyIE2) for my browser........

Windows 11.

My favorite was DOS and Windows 3.11.

I loved modifying them to my own liking.

Although Windows 11 does allow a person to get down to those levels.

Could ya get to the net with 3.1???

My golden experience was when I successfully had set up my Gentoo system. Ohhh loved that… Felt such a master (I did everything according to the guide HAHA).
