So is the EDIT button and Preview button, great.
As are on our keypads ...the highlight/scroll and backspace buttons!

I find it interesting that no-one has responded to Legrand's opening question.
Who is paying the bills? I searched and saw an old thread where Annonafox welcomed donations (so I assume she is paying for it).
Who is liaising with the technical team so that Legrand can determine the issue.
The thing is the more limitations you place here, the less it will seem appealing to many (not the crazies that stay )

direction has been given that we can only quote 2 lines. Thanks for your fine works.
Quotation trimmed to comply. Imposing new limits as discussed here, limits not in this website's rules as far as I am aware, when there is no obvious benefit or apparent logic, doesn't make sense to me.

Nonetheless if that's to be the unofficial, new rule I for one will comply with it and echo one of BJ's sentiments that all members will do similarly. When they don't I hope they will be constantly reminded until they comply.

The actuality is that we don't know who is technically proficient about commercial servers and in the land of the blind the one-eyed man is king. . It's an academic point anyway as it's nobody's business but that of the owner/operator.

The website staff here aren't required, and shouldn't be expected, to heed apparent knowledge on the subject; their role is that of administration of the forum pages, things they do well.

The running of the website and the payment for the web hosting is down to whomever pays the bills and it's her/his sole responsibility unless it has been given over to, or shared with, someone else. Either way it's not the business of us ordinary members.

Hello Bobjob,

If ordinary members want to help, I see nothing wrong with that. They are so much people doing volunteer work to make this place run smoothly.
But I must say that I should of contacted the owner of this place before, as I did yesterday, posting this thread.
Such beautiful souls behind all of this.

Regards

I didn't say there was anything wrong with what we'd been discussing. Only that the financial side is not our business unless we've been included in it or are, for example, offering a donation for a particular purpose. On that last point I raised the matter of ring-fencing any money offered that way.

Of course there's absolutely nothing wrong with anyone offering help, be it financial or practical. I made the point way back in this thread - since removed by the moderator because I mentioned the website's owner by name - that the right person to contact would be the person(s) who pay(s) the bills.
