Zoolander is one of my all time fav ultra silly comedy movies.
The outlandish over the top exaggerated characters played so well by all involved.
Of course, Zoolander, like Ace Ventura II and other over the top comedies, is not everyone's cup of tea.
What i don't like as comedy is awkward situations, like many of Stiller's movies.

But it's the over the top exaggerated persona that th director and scripot asks for from the actors.
And these two, like many others before them, as so skilled at doing.

I normally sit through every movie I rent or wee in theaters, but i have never made it past the 25 minute mark of Lord of the Rings.. I throw my hands up, shout "DONE!" and leave the room.

My mum didn't even make it through Galadriel's speech at the beginning of movie 1.

Harry Potter is on my absolute favorites list. It was my childhood after all :). But I wasn't impressed with the last movie at all. The books were better.

Blaagh!
Also never have been a fan of vampire movies, but(only seen twilight I) was impressed with the passionate love story in it.
It's not really a movie about vampires, it's about love that has vampires in it.

But he and Martin were not letting on these things you assumed about them.
That was your conclusions based ont he roles they played.
That's their job only, not who they are in real life.

I despised Steve Martin, playing an idiot....in early films... yet his true gifts were revealed when he tempered his humor with drama and writing...

You despised your assumptions about him?

Widen your data base for your conclusions about people.
People are more that what is revealed in the movies they are in.
For example, the very young actors playing Cameron and Beuller in Ferris Beuller's day off were already accomplished stage actors before making it onto the screen.

The Room, 100%. It's amazing in how awful it is, but after having read Greg Sestero's book about the shooting of it and been to one of his readings I have a hard time mocking it as I did before - Tommy Wiseau was so earnest (although terrible) and genuinely thought he was making a masterpiece, and the poor actors did what they could with a dreadful script and a terrifying/clueless director.
Not that it stops me from cackling at the awfulness and throwing spoons at the screenings, though. *g* It just means that I can't quite bring myself to mock the actors.

I’m not keen on Magnolia, even though Tom Cruise and William H. Macy are really good in it. It’s just too long; I lost it after around an hour.

I saw part of a really bad movie called Settlers, I can't remember if it was on Netflix or Hulu. I would definitely say it is the worst movie I have ever seen, even worse than some of the stupid movies from the 70's.
