It is very true. I have been thinking about prayer this week. Wondering about the true nature of prayer. I believe that there are different types of prayer. There is the prayer where the person doing the praying comes from a belief that there is some sort of lack in their own life. For example: Please Lord protect and guide me. This prayer assumes that God is not protecting and guiding already. The person praying believes he/she is experience of lack. However, this is a misconception, the truth is, the person praying is already being protected and guided.
Sometimes I say this prayer. I ask once and then let it be. Prayer I feel is about listening too. It is about listening to the quiet voice within. It is about being receptive to the communication of the Divine.
Prayer is often a statement of what is. It is a chance for the individual to affirm the truth in the individual's own heart. We need to walk the spiritual path -- find the path and walk it. Be the true to the self. Hold your head up, be noble and honest and love in earnest. Live in earnest. Throw yourself into every endevour. Prayer is about focusing the mind, and reminding ourselves of what is true and right to do.
Something are not God's to give. Sometimes we have a gift that we need to give to the self. We need to know that God is great but also we are great. We have the power to heal, love mightily and to do our best in every situation.
This is to know the true meaning of success. True success has more to do with being and doing our best in every situation. Most people attach the concept of success to the end result. Humanity has a preoccupation with attachment to the result of things. Often the result is not within our province to control. However, what we do and how we do is always within our means. Focus on doing your best in every moment of your day and you will know success.
Peace.
