lion paws

i dreamt that I was in my living room (old apartment the way it shows in dreams). I was taking off my clothes... then some people iin an SUV pulled up outside my patio... I thought it was the police. I was a little uncomfortable as I was naked... I was wondering, what did I do now? They didn't immediately approach me so I thought maybe they meant for the people above me and decided to go brush my teeth.

While I was brushing my teeth they came in, only they weren't police they were zookeepers. The lions were loose... so they showed me a female lion in my bed room on the other side of the bed. There was another lion too. Then I was on the ground in the doorway and a male lion had draped its foot around my shoulders... (i was still naked from when I took my clothes off) I wondered if I would get bit? Then I wondered with a large amount of clarity that isn't common in my dreams, was I supposed to do like in that indiana jones movie and jump off a lion's head? Maybe by slapping the lion? And I thought but I'd already done that, and that storyline definitely didn't say to do it twice, so, thank you I won't. And I just lay there wondering if it was going to bite me without worrying too much about it. Eventually the lions went away... and the zookeepers followed.... but then the lions came back and the male lion had its foot draped around my shoulders again. I sent someone off to find the zookeeper and just wondered some more whether I was getting bit... eventually I had the lions following me around in some populated place (maybe a mall loll) and lost them on a terrace somewhere. Then i was in my apartment again and it was somehow opulent this time... I felt like there was someone else there but it didn't go any further than that. Anyway I was locking all the doors so the lions wouldn't come bother me again...

What a cool dream.

Curious as to what lions represent to you?

They represent the ability to be comfortable with one's life, to sorta keep going the same way, to kinda rest in your thoughts rather than being actively trying to change. It is also one of my twin's animals, so I had always been jealous or been mad that she can be so comfortable and my life is always so full of strife.

Also I feel like I'm always getting betrayed if I try to be more liony which is why I was afraid of being 'bit'... And anyway the only thing I get to be catty about is how dog-like I can be if that makes any sense. The whole thing would seem desirable (lions are king of the jungle after all) but my reality is that lions hurt my head.

Thank you for asking, it helps to be able to talk about myself sometimes.

But I don't know if that really explains anything or not...

I enjoy dreams so much.

Thanks for sharing. It’s good to open in you to the dreamer you are.

Lion essence as I feel it now, is proud, strong stirring presence, goes after what it wants and needs with strength and ferocity. Yet when I think about them just being, there just a big cuddly pussy cat, who like us enjoy lazing in the sun and minding their own business. Strength and might perhaps, presence and stillness, unperturbed almost. Rises up only when necessary, doesn’t get overtly concerned outside its own domain. The pride and place important too..probably lots more.

As an adult I’ve allowed myself to be proud of myself. Not from an ego pride place, but a heartfelt. “Your doing a great job”

The lion did not appear to be threatening at all. I have a main coon cat that likes to stretch out on the top of the couch above my head and he'll sometimes drop his paw to touch my shoulder to be friendly.
