How many statues do you have of loved ones?

When Moses went up in to the mountains to get the '10 Commandments', then why did he get extremely upset when he came down and found that the Hebrews had turned some of their Egyptian gold into a statue?

Ah, you have some issue with statues?
I don't need a statue of a loved one, alive or gone now ..I have photo albums for memories that warm my heart
as any statue of a religious figure might effect me...in this case, inspire me.
Please, kindly don't lay your 'thing about statues' on me.
There's enough pushing ideas onto others going on lately!

That story in the Bible was about truly worshipping a golden calf as God Himself...as if it had some power, also.

Regarding Statues/Icons etc.... what the Bible ' Condemns ' is worship of them. Using them in a Church/Home does not mean they are being worshipped.

Exodus 20:4-- Those bow to a wooden statue behind the pulpit in that religion.

In 'That' Religion they certainly do bow, and why not if they have respect which btw is not the same as 'Worshipping' a Statue......
Sometimes it helps to understand 'That' Religion before making blind assumptions.
I bow to my Teacher's on entering a room and they bow to me, it has nothing to do with ' Worshipping ' each other....

If John 16:7-15 is ignored perhaps you would have a stronger argument. In short, the Spirit is being sent because men do not believe Jesus, according to Jesus. The words of Jesus confirm the concept of Trinity.

John 20:17, Rev 3:12--proves you are not correct.

Neither one proves anything and certainly do not contradict a single thing of the scripture I cited.

Ya can't say things like Jesus or God are going to do such and such to you,
since you don't believe what I believe to be true
, or anything even similar.

Ya just can't here, Period.

I asked a question and you replied with a question. Being this is the Christian Forum, I thought it would be interesting to bring up the issue of having statues. By asking a question, I was not pushing any 'ideas' on to others. I was just asking a question. I could have simply asked another question, 'Does it not say "You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below"'?

When Jesus was in 'heated' environments, is that not how he would reply..... by asking a question?

As for me laying my 'thing about statues; on anybody": that is a different story. On the Christian Forum I don't think I have ever mentioned if I have any statues.

On one of the other Forums, possibly two other Forums, in Spiritualforums I have mentioned about statues and I do have a considered number of them.
