He's 14 lbs of sweetness and love. He's got a sweet gooey center! When we adopted him and his sister we had no idea. It wasn't until he was about 2 years old and I realized he was still growing that we didn't have just an ordinary long haired cat. His sister weighs about 11-12 lbs and looks positively petite next to him but even she's bigger than the average cat.

Mine is not purebred so he's not as big as a pure bred maine coon can get. But compared to your average short-haired domestic cat, which is what I've had all of my life, he's pretty darn huge. We have a set of recliner couches in the family room that are about 80-90" long and broken up into 3 sections. When he stretches out, he easily takes up a whole section by himself and his tail part of a second section.

Awww and wow. What a surprise for you.
Sounds like a perfect union bringing them home.

Not quite 30" per section. The arms are included in that 80"-90 and they're pretty big. The sections are about 24" each though.
