The Bible was written by Humans trying to make sense of the World they inhabited. Some Christians regard the Bible as words that have been written 'about' God as seen through our Ancestors perceptions. Although it has some good 'Moral' teachings for Christians it can be interpreted differently to fit into modern societies. Written 'by' God and written 'about' God are very different, so you cannot say it is only meant for those who believe it literally when It depends on the 'intent' of the Biblical author, did they intend what they wrote to be taken literally, or did they mean for it to be taken symbolically.....
The Bible is for anyone who wants to read it, imo..... |

I have to agree with Sky……..it IS just an opinion because NOBODY knows for sure if what is written is correct. Only time will tell.

i dunno... it seems the only way one could utter the word 'opinion' is if they truly didn't know the answer...
jesus said something about people not knowing what they do... my own take is that people don't WANT to know what they do so that they can freely utter words like 'opinion'... and will go a certain distance out of their way to avoid learning 'inconvenient' answers....  |
