You are not alone . Almost entire world is almost agnostic like you . Just remember to nurture the faith in God and NOT let atheistic beliefs overpower you and your mind and your actions .

Well your ques is how imp is it...it would be individual. My atheist ex would not think it was imp at all, see?
Me personally? Gotta say I'm not big on blind faith. I am more into a direct exp so you know something...whatever it is...

Why not ask God to reveal Himself to you...then sit in stillness and let Him; stillness and silence are like an invitation to Him.
Sure it could take a week, a year or a decade...but I can't think of anything else more worth waiting for!
Worked for ME!!

So taking baby-steps at first, blind faith gets the ball rolling, in my opinion.

That's what I would recommend too.

Just, when you do that, make sure you suspend all your beliefs and expectations, because those distort your link to God, higher-power, inner-guidance, or whatever you call it.

I have a huge faith in ME and that is what counts in my life.
