There was an episode on Star Trek: The Next Generation, where Troi got a telepathic message "One moon circles". It was a message from an alien ship that was trapped in a rift telling her that the Enterprise needed to release hydrogen (atomic symbol looks like a planet with an orbiting moon) to help them escape.
It was called Night Terrors season 4 episode 17, if you want to check it out. |

It could also represent the cycles of life. As in night and day, weeks, seasons years etc.

It could represent the cycles of time within the infinite. Or the doors of perception based on the different dimensions from where we perceive our concepts of reality.
