I see. Well I maintain that it is possible to imagine God dying, and crossing over to the after life just like all of us.

And I completely agree. One can imagine all manner of situations but that's just imagination and I wouldn't give serious thought to it unless I had good reasons to do so.

Actually...... there are many people who actually believe God did die, descended into Hell and spent parts of 3 days there, and later was resurrected.

What might help to put those ideas to rest or to continue with them, is a good study of the subject...... *deleted*

He probably did die for ages before the most recent occasion we all know of.

What is Easter about? For all of Christianity to celebrate and remember
Jesus coming back to life or ''conquering the illusion of death".
It was bigger than celebrating him showing us all, ''Water is not what we think it is''!
That's my take.

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

The name "Easter" originated with the names of an ancient Goddess and God. The Venerable Bede, (672-735 CE), a Christian scholar, first asserted in his book De Ratione Temporum that Easter was named after Eostre (a.k.a. Eastre). She was the Great Mother Goddess of the Saxon people in Northern Europe.

Similarly, the "Teutonic dawn goddess of fertility [was] known variously as Ostare, Ostara, Ostern, Eostra, Eostre, Eostur, Eastra, Eastur, Austron and Ausos." 1 Their names were derived from the ancient word for spring: "Eastre." Eostre's sacred animal was a rabbit, and a symbol of the rebirth of life in the springtime was the egg.

Another Bob, yours is a comprehensive take on Easter dating back to ancient times. Much appreciated. It seems to echo the concept of death of all through time.
