Walls


We all love imperfectly
From broken hearts, unfolding
Slowly.

I am no exception.

I searched far and wide
Across time and tide for
Unbroken wings...

I never found them.

I took my own heart into
My hands and sang out loud
A song of acceptance.

I need only love.

I took your heart into
My own and felt your pain...
As my own...

I was not overcome.

I recognised that nothing was
Needed from me in this moment but
Soul recognition...

I silenced my mind and listened
To my hearts gentle tuition.

Each one of us, as varied as the last...
Creating our own islands of magic.

Then tragedy strikes when what
We thought was ensured is denied.

We pull together, inclined
Towards love and compassion.

Resources rationed and divided
Among the tribes.

Each one of us thrives when
We recognise that all divides can be mended.

When the heart softens the mind,
We seek not to divide, rather we seek to align.

Silence speaks as I tread softly through my life. Colourful streams of light
swirl around my fingertips, dancing around me.

Upon my revision of
Our time together, I have many
Regrets.

I wish that I knew then
What I know now - how
I would love to reset,
To start again.

In my heart I know -
I did my best.
Taking your needs into consideration
With all my limitations of understanding.

I honour you now by
Taking what I know and
Applying it to the rest of my

Regardless of how you feel ...

Your cup overflows.

Here, there is no need which goes unmet,
You can want or long for anything...

All suffering can be eased through observation of
A thought, an intention and a wish...

So long as that which creates your
Suffering is also welcome, as a friend,
When you come and sit at the table.
