Goodbye Miss Ruby Ellis you got the the grand old age of 108.
you passed away peacefully. you were one of my first teachers very softly spoken.and very independent.

YOU will be sorely missed by the whole Village Rest in Peace

She lived next door to her brother and sister in law, her brother passed a few years ago a few weeks before his 100 birthday.
Miss ellis did her own cleaning and cooking she was very independent.
she was on a programme her a couple of years ago.
only spoke welsh if she could. but her english was ok.

Interesting family.

When I was a boy, an old timer would come with his milk pail and buy raw milk from us. He was Welsh just like everybody else in our community was for the most part. My third grade school teacher was a Williams and my 5th grade teacher was a Jones. The old-timer, he was a Jones also. As you can imagine, my last name is a typical Welch name also.

I have just watched the funeral of miss ruby Ellis it was beautiful, many went but more watched at home.
T he orbs that were flying about were lovely its as if they were dancing on the screen. many feathers fell also,
it was a fitting tribute to a wonderful person rest in peace Miss ruby Ellis
