Wrestling With Yellow Python

Morning everyone,

So last night I had a rather interesting dream where at one part I was in what looked like an alchemy lab wrestling with a very large yellow Python. Most of the dream was me holding it just under its head keeping it from biting me. I was suprisingly calm throughout while it was trying everything it could to get free of my hand. The lab had large wooden shelves with glass/wooden bowls and jars filled with herbs and other exotic stuff.

At one point I got away from the Python and pulled one of the large shelves onto the floor to stop the snake from getting to me. I did eventually get away.


So thoughts?

tarot magician to my mind: card #1. he's what you identify with in the scene.
the yellow python is as if your kundalini energy has progressed to the 3rd
chakra, and become blocked there... empowering that aspect of yourself
into a force which isn't serving your higher interests.
balancing your energies, and bringing each aspect of yourself into the service
of all is the struggle you witnessed in the dream.

Very interesting, I looked up the tarot magician and the card is also yellow. I also had a hunch that the snake was Kundalini. My Solar Plexus has been my problem chakra my whole life, always feels like theres a knot in there.

My Solar Plexus has been my problem chakra my whole life, always feels like theres a knot in there.

i'm inspired to share that i've had (much) experience with a similar
phenomena. in childhood, i'd often have what was described as a
"nervous stomach", meaning that gases would churn within me,
localized to that area. the sensation of "a knot" is familiar for me.

Yes I've always had this feeling of anxiety there and on really bad days it feels like this crushing feeling, like I can implode. Since my awakening in late 2015 the feeling has lessened.

The impression I get from the python is that of someone's arm. Someone perhaps who has an influence on you. Someone maybe you work with; a friend maybe, who exerts some hold or domination over you. Not necessarily physical, but like in certain frames of the psyche ... ie, the contents of the bowls and jars. The dream may be saying that the alchemy is how you deal with threats of constriction/overpowering ... ie, keeping oneself at arm's length!

- just a hunch
