Meditation applied to workout

I want to share my experience when I was 118-120kg and wanted to loose weight.
I wanted to show the strength of my inner will with the results of my body in order to impress a girl.
So I started my daily cardio sessions (1 hour of rowing machine, lvl 5-7).

I have always practiced meditation and astral projection, so I decided to meditate during the exercise because I wanted that same will I have in my dreams, that same determination. So I chose a certain feeling (mainly something concerning love, a few other times wrath or anger) and I amplified that sensation so that my body was moved because of that intention.
The inspiration of the feeling could come from my personal experience or from music and imagination, and thanks to it I could go hard with the cardio.
After the workout I learned that is not easy to be motivated in that manner the whole session.

The results were impressive, maybe I was not able to do it every single day, but I could do it 2-4 days in a row.
At the end I lost 10kg in 1 month, and even if I reached the weight of ~92kg within the next 2-3 months after (I could see my abs, a few fat remained), the girl didn't want to be my girlfriend, but all this initiated me to the body workout culture, a very lovely and useful one.

I tried to apply this kind of meditation to muscle building, but it's a lot more difficult, maybe because your reach more easly your limits, It's like I do double the effort.

Hope you can find some kind of inspiration in this story :)

i don't much see people doing 'active' meditations (outside eastern cultures where they have tai chi and the like). There is something that helps me in my own meditations (although I don't meditate the same way you do). That is, when you're in the mood, sometimes pushing just a little bit beyond where you think you can go 'stretches' your ability a little. It won't be obvious at the outset but if you do it for a while you may start to see why I like it lol! You don't necessarily have to do it consistently or at times you don't want to do it, but maybe if you do it sometimes over a longer period you'll see what I mean...

by the way I'm sorry I just put in a piece of 'advice', coming at random I'm sure that is confusing... my problem is I've been down too many roads to be much surprised at things that might come... so disregard if you think I'm being rude

119kg= 262 pounds.
92kg = 203 pounds

I say any advice in this area is great, thank you, T!

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

With muscle building its about making a 'mind/muscle' connection. Feel the muscle you are working.
With cardio, when using the treadmill I just put on some heavy metal to am me up, and I like a steady rhythm between my breathing and strides. On the rower I place my attention on a spot between my shoulder-blades and pull everything to that point. It helps to activate the muscle groups much better.
