A fast train, a Giant drunk and Comeuppance

Read this story decades ago in a Readers Digest. The place a train in Japan. The traistops at the station a Giant of a man climbs aboard drunk as a skunk. The denizens of the car cast their eyes down away from him. Profane words fill the air. This guy can barely stand up. The train resumes. The minutes go by slow and no let up by this Giant. An American at end of the car stands up in the aisle. This fight was going to be over quick. He was proficient in akido I think. The American assumes the stance and beckons the drunk to step towards him.
The drunk starts to move toward the American. "Saki", a man cried out. "Do you like saki?", the old man exclaims,"Come here sit by me.'
Within 5 min. The burly drunk is putty in the old man's love. The drunk's head is nested in the old man's lap, with the old man stroking his head. The American got to witness a real master at work. He stood in awe on what had just transpired.

I SO relate to this story...I have disarmed many in my life with either humor or gentleness, even logic...
gotten out of many jams, oh my, the memories.

Don't ya find most people are the way they are (if obnoxious), cuz they just want to be loved and understood...acting
out of unresolved childhood traumas? Rhetorical.

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

So right Miss H. Another option that I have found works is to just put your hand lightly on their shoulder whilst they are “having their moment” and just that little touch can have a massive positive effect.
