Throat Chakra

I was wondering if anyone would like to share with me any kind of meditation or practice to develop the throat chakra. I am looking to express myself better when I play and write music and I would also be curious if there is any way it can help in making my body lighter when I need it to be (I practice martial arts).

All input is very welcome :)

What you're looking for,it's the ability to work with your energy body.If you know the method, you can apply it to all chakras as well. And in order to do that, you have to 'awake' your mind.

I suggest visualization exercices.Personally i started with Robert Bruce's book ''energy work''.

As of my understanding, the throat chakra is an interface, a communicator between the material and the ethereal, connecting heart and mind. This zone is a problem area for many since it requires ‘a letting go of (lower mind), to get to (universal consciousness)’.

It is true that this chakra is linked with intuitive creativity, a spontaneity ...

My personal view is that we need to rekindle purity of being or childlike innocence to develop or keep the Vishuddha open.

Wow, this is very coincidental. I just started reading Astral Dynamics! Is there any particular Energy Work exercise you recommend?
I normally just focus on the point below the navel when I meditate, would it help me to meditate and focus on the other chakras as well?

Thank you both for the very helpful replies!

Add movement to where you focus. For example pretend-imagine that there's a ball of light inside your focus point. Then start to move that ball up and down, circular,or left-right.(you choose)
Now the focus should be on the movement it self.In his book.Robert Bruce suggests to use your breath in order to control the movement.I found out that orchestrating the whole thing with my hand, was much more easier.

Anyway.

The point is to feel the movement of the imaginery ball.It could take time and effort, but slowly will start to open the interface between your mind and your energy body.

This is a simple exercise to start with. The book contain several others as well.
