I and I am not

A conversation between the Self and the apparent self. The Self is addressing the apparent self, talking how it comes, it plays its part and then its no more but while it plays its part it overshadows the Self to the point where the apparent self is all there is to itself but at the end of the play the apparent self will know and will no more and the Self will be revealed.



Why are you here
Coming from afar so near
In the midst of this game
All you have is more to gain

For you can stay and I can not
And you never say about
When you come and when you go
Life for you it's just a show

How can I make sense of that
When you are I and I am not
And when the curtain will be shut
I'll be I and you'll be not

Until then you'll play your part
You'll be I and I'll be not
And the world will see you here
And they'll say you are the real

You'll know that you are not
That you never been a part
And the world will be no more
For the I will be the all

Nice!

It's been ages from the day I wrote my last poem, I am experiencing a very deep disconnection from my own sense of self and I know why but it what it is. This poem is solely based on that disconnection, I imagined the Self talking back with me, it's more a one way conversation coming from the Self, in a few of my experiences I found myself talking with myself but that me was very wise and right to the point.

Perhaps the trick is not to mind separation, the delusion. After all, having been, seen and so known the truth in active awareness (very few have), it is then like water dripping into an empty bucket ~ we know it will fill up in time, so we can sit back and enjoy the blossoming.
