A Black Feather

[Nowayout]

I found a black feather in the sand
It was a crow's feather...

So I smelled it, and it had a smell
Like the wind.

So I tasted it, and it tasted like
A feather on my tongue.

It gave me a bit of a tickle
Like it was still alive

So I put it in my hat
As I walked along the shore

Looking for a crow
With a missing feather.....

And so I noticed

The soul eaters have come
And they are hungry for you

You a very delectable treat
As they pull the blinders

Over your eyes and heart
They will have a nice meal

A little later as you remain fresh
And stew in your cranial cave

Unaware that you are cooking
In a boiling pot of life

Like a frog not sensing
It's getting very hot

Thoughts as food
With life as a simple spice

To wash us all down
The drain.
