Why not let Spirit/Universe, etc. motivate people to help in the ways they can, if it is by moderating, contributing with posts, contributions, etc.
Besides, this is what we believe in,................ don't we?

Is it what we believe, you've asked? I don't know as I'm unable to speak for others....
How many members are inspired by friends-unseen in spirit to contribute in the ways you've mentioned I would not have a clue.
Moderating members are all to be applauded for the time and effort they give.
Several individuals have made the point that members should try to donate to the running costs of this website. I'm not challenging their desire to help in that way - it's their prerogative. I simply responded to what those individuals wrote.
Considered, thoughtful contributions - postings - on this website are of course welcome and important, reinforcing its raison d'etre. But none of that, or what I wrote in the posting you quoted, was what I had referred to earlier.
A member had earlier said there are 2,905 registered members (and quoted a figure of 37c) and I simply questioned how many were active members. I very much doubt that those nearly three thousand registrations mean there are three thousand regular contributors, the ones perhaps most motivated towards making a financial contribution.
