Crashing into the background (feeling really small all suddenly)

Hi,

I’ve been having this since a few months.

Basically it’s when I’m stressed (or so I believe). It is like everything in the room gets far away and I’m getting really small. But it’s mere in thoughts and feels. I don’t see it that way visually. But due to the feels seeming to do that “I’m so small effect” it appears so strong. And the association with what I’m seeing is appearing like it’s far away and I am small.

Anyway weird thing. It’s fine. Just kind of gets exhausting. Trying to figure it out. Second time I speak up about it today. It’s fine really.

Greetings,

CW

I think it happens to me when I'm tired, and when I have focused too much on something.
When I feel that, I go for a walk for fresh air, or look at something far away by the window, I try to change my mind.

Thanks both! Yes aiws is good idea to look into. Must just be aware to not self diagnose.

Have you ever heard of it, Guillaume?

Anyway, that is a heck of an experience tbh. It’s very weird. It could be due to my brain’s wiring or maybe due to other abnormalities. Such as migraine.

Greetings,

CW

Mine is Migraine, sometimes with just Pain and at other times just Visual Disturbances etc: diagnosed by a Neurological Specialist who actually is a sufferer himself.....
You should get advise from your Doctor if it persists because some forms of Epilepsy include the same symptoms....

Nope.
When I read the symptoms, to me it's like not having enough sleep for days or weeks.

FYI for all

What can AIWS cause?
With over 60 associated symptoms, Alice in Wonderland syndrome affects the sense of vision, sensation, touch,
and hearing, as well as the perception of one's own body image. Migraines, nausea, dizziness, and agitation
are also commonly associated symptoms with Alice in Wonderland syndrome.

I had only heard of the Alice in Wonderland Symdrome like 3 or 4 times, not really knowing it applied to me maybe. Still not a diagnoses ofc. Just open to the possibility. Anyway, it has a cool name. I like the name. It sounds super fantasy world like. As if you’re getting high and be tripping (not really any experience in that lol). Or as if you’re having a massive experience related spiritually. The person that named it did a good job.
