..... My random act of kindness was to take Leon , a gentleman in my town, a christmas dinner , freshly cooked, complete with christmas card and christmas cracker...... But MORE importantly .... Human contact on Christmas day....... Went to take him his dinner this year....only to find out he had passed away. Merry Christmas Leon ... Wherever you are .... Myself... My husband and son Love you....X

In my weird positive way I don't see it as a loss. I just see it he no longer has to play this game anymore.
Like any loving mother does, spreading your love outside your immediate family

I sent a heap of chocolate out during lockdown - with the simple request that the kindness would be repaid forwards.
It made me happy to think what seeds might have been sown.

This is lovely. Thanks for sharing.
Someone dropped off a $125 gift card to Target and a giant bottle of hand sanitizer to my door a few days before Christmas. I still don't know who it was. It couldn't have come at a better time. God, is that you? Lol probly my neighbors.
It put me in a very giving mood. Went through all our stuff and donated bags full of almost new quality items to families with kids in need on some buy nothing fb groups I'm in. Then gave some warm blankets, sleeping bags and thermos cups to these homeless people I see often in tents near my place.
I would also like to give a shout out to everyone helping in my city to feed all the communities whether homeless or in need of a little extra support. These volunteers have been serving hot and cold lunch at school sites for free across the city making sure no kid or adult goes hungry. They are even helping with 2 weeks of free meals while s hools are closed for winter break. It's amazing. And also amazing to supply basic need toiletries and cleaning products too.

Me and a friend were eating breakfast at a local cafe a few weeks ago. After we got our food our waitress told us that someone offered to pay for our food and they had already left so we never got to say thank you.

The year before last, I was given $50 dollars as a gift for my birthday. I had the note in my wallet for just over a year when my oldest son needed some cash to go out with his mates. I gave him the $50 to enjoy himself with his mates. He returned later that day and gave me $40 change. Which sits in my wallet for whoever needs some quick cash next time from the AT(Dad)M.

I am on the Community council have been for a long time.
Every christmas we give the over 75s a christmas card and gift.
Normally the gifts are wrapped by the clerk. but this last time. she was going through a tough time. so i wrapped them..
All 80 of them, it was hard going because i was not well myself.
But they were all appreciated. Especially by our Eldest resident 109 years young
