Pharmakeia

Galatians Chapter 5 in the walking in the flesh section proclaims the Sorcery or Witchcraft is walking in the flesh. The Greek word used for Witchcraft and Sorcery is the word Pharmakeia. According to a Greek Magic History book. Pharmakeia means the administration of Food, Drink, Salves and Herbs in the intent to harm. Or in other words to poison. This makes sense. Poisoning people is definitely an awful thing to do. While there is some magical connotation to it. It doesnt really mean Sorcery. If one was to use a word for sorcery or Magic they should use the word mageĆa. Pharmakeia means to poison.

Or how about Black Magic or Black Witchcraft?

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

Black magic could fit.. But the fact that you are using Food, Drink, Salves, or Herbs really refers to poisoning.

When I first heard that the term phar-ma-ki-a was the Greek word for spiritism I was a bit taken aback, as for years I'd always associated spiritism with mediums, wizards, and other practitioners of divination, only.

That most of our pharmaceuticals are derived from (mind-altering) plants speaks volumes, as clearly not everything regarded as 'natural' on God's green earth is healthful to humans. (Go figure.)

Such is why psychedelics, for example, are rightly outlawed in most parts of the world, as these are known to open gateways within innerspace into other and low-level dimensions.

Interestingly, and as a relevant aside, some are of the opinion that the '60s counterculture was in large part a CIA creation, as opposed to a scene that developed organically; one manufactured by social engineers, not just as a means to sedate a large section of the populace as a controlling mechanism, but as a way of getting young adults especially to practice spiritism, unwittingly.

What with the CIA being founded mostly by occult-practicing OSS members, it certainly makes you wonder whether at least a faction within the agency has had citizens' best interests at heart...and, for that matter, whether the pharmaceutical industry does too.

Yes it's true that the human body contains its own schizotoxin (in DMT), which in all likelihood accounts for mental diseases like schizophrenia; a condition of 'clairvoyance' which I don't believe is entirely if at all brain-based. As for why this 'spiritistic' chemical is found both in plants and in humans is a question perhaps only God can answer.

Interesting essay. :)
